Learning about other views and forms of communication that are affected by cultural context is interesting to me, because it allows us to understand other points of view which perhaps do not come naturally to us. We communicate primarily by using words, but there are also some traits that differ depending on cultural context, such as body language. For example, Catalan people are typically expressive communicators: we frequently use our hands and vary the volume of our speaking and it seems that we are very enthusiastic about the topics of the conversation.
The Chinese girl, on the other hand, was inexpressive. This girl could seem that she was not interested in what we were talking, but at the end, I realised that she was listening carefully because she provided new and interesting ideas.
